Tours to the North: more than just tourism

Where to relax in the Murmansk region and where to go for a real reboot? The official website of Pavel Rudenko's project is not a standard travel agency or a mass tour operator. I organize author's tours to the Kola Peninsula, the Polar Urals and other northern regions for those who are looking for real silence and wild nature. A trip to Murmansk and a journey to the Arctic with us is a friendly atmosphere with a professional approach to organization and safety.

On the schedule for 2026, I have collected the best tourist routes in the Murmansk region, in which you will see the Kola North at its finest: Rybachy Peninsula, Teriberka, Dalnie Zelentsy, Granitny, the White Sea, the heart of Khibiny and the Far North (Russian Lapland). For many travelers, the vast spaces of the Kola Peninsula are an accessible 'Kamchatka': Murmansk and the Arctic tundra provide equally grandiose impressions.

Winter ski hikes in the Kola (February - March)

The time when the tundra turns into an endless white canvas. This is the perfect tour to the Kola Peninsula for the northern lights. Many people specifically look for a tour to Murmansk from Moscow or St. Petersburg to see the night sky illuminated by the Aurora. No matter what the weather is like on the Kola Peninsula, we will provide warmth and coziness.

  • Arctic format: we go on tourist skis with camus, and carry gear in large pulkas. This will lighten the load on your back, and we will be able to go on ski hikes across the Kola Peninsula over long distances without getting tired.
  • Comfort: we will prove that winter отдых (Kola Peninsula) can be enjoyable. We spend the night in wind-resistant tents Hilleberg, Fjallraven, Helsport and use warm sleeping bags for -30 and -40.
  • Locations: the coast of the Barents Sea (author's tour to Teriberka), as well as the coast and hills of the White Sea on the Tersky coast. Exploring this fabulous Murmansk Peninsula (as some mistakenly but lovingly call the Kola region), you will fall in love with winter forever.
  • Food: we cook unusually delicious, almost restaurant-quality hiking food on Kovea Booster petrol stoves.

Summer and autumn routes (June - September)

The period of the polar day and golden autumn. The time when the tundra blooms, and whales and Greenland seals come to the ocean. When planning a trip to the Kola and choosing what to see, pay attention to our main hits:

  • Teriberka and Granitny: sightseeing tours from Moscow often offer just a bus ride, but our approach is different. This is a unique hike to the Kola Peninsula along the coast of the Arctic Ocean. Steep cliffs (where the ancient geology of the Kola Peninsula is clearly visible), sea expanses, tundra hills, sand and stone beaches of 'dragon eggs'. In the fall, this is the best sightseeing tour for the request 'Teriberka: whales and northern lights'.
  • Rybachy Peninsula: the northernmost point of the European part of Russia. Epic landscapes and plateau-like tundra, where you can meet reindeer and see the power of the ocean surf. Where Rybachy Peninsula hotels cannot offer, our expedition camp will provide the best comfort.
  • Dalnie Zelentsy: a route for those who want to take a trip to the Kola Peninsula to escape from civilization to the farthest 'Edge of the Earth'.
  • Khibiny: an autumn tour of the Khibiny from Murmansk is a riot of colors, pristine lakes and mountain relief. The 'Teriberka - Khibiny' link guarantees an unforgettable holiday in the region.

Safety and preparation

Tourism in the Kola Peninsula requires experience and strict discipline. All group routes to Murmansk and the region are conducted by an experienced guide to Teriberka and the North — certified instructor-guide Pavel Rudenko, as well as our professional instructors (guides know the Kola Peninsula like the back of their hand).

  • Small groups: an intimate format for up to 12 people and 2 instructors guarantees attention to each participant.
  • Gear: premium public and special gear included (tour prices are transparent, without hidden surcharges).
  • Communication and control: groups are always registered with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, there is satellite communication Iridium, GPS navigation, walkie-talkies, signaling devices on the route.
  • First aid kit: instructors have completed First Aid courses at the Red Cross, and there is always an extended first aid kit on the hike.

Read reviews on tours, explore our route to Murmansk, choose your adventure in the calendar above and leave a request. The North is closer than it seems!

Reviews

I was on the tour Daliye Zelentsy - Hike to the Edge of the Earth with Pavel and Ilya in June 2025.

The tour program was very comfortably planned. The hotel on the first and last day of the tour helps to buy missing items, relax after the road and get ready for the trip. All the stops had magnificent views! The guides cooked the food and it was very tasty and varied.

On the route, we were told about the history of the area where we passed, it was very interesting and informative. During the movement, there were always stops for rest and time to take photos for memory! The guides were always ready to help and answer any questions, advised on backpack settings and gear (that's great). The issued tent met all the requirements for this area.

I came to the Kola Peninsula for the views, silence, sea and horizon, and the excellent work of the guides helped me get all this and even more.
Thank you so much!

Hiking with Pavel is something unimaginable!!!

For me, this was the first serious hike, and to say that everything went super great is simply not saying anything.

From the very beginning of communication, Pavel shows complete interest in your well-being. Enjoyment from the hike every minute. Calls, consultations, promo codes, it's great! Then everything happens as if by magic of a magic wand) Once, and you're already on a magical carpet of berries and moss!

You set up a tent and admire the sunset overlooking the river flowing into the ocean! The variety of beauty and views is overwhelming! I would like to note Anna, his wife, she created coziness and delight from dinner every evening.

The tundra is beautiful in its own way! It must be seen, it must be felt, you must be there! An excellent itinerary, interesting and informative stories, stunning views and a great mood - that's what accompanied me all the time on the hike. The reward is the northern lights and a great team, unforgettable experiences and complete delight.

Many thanks to a very interesting person who was able to organize such an event, thanks to Pavel!

This trek became a real challenge for me and at the same time an unforgettable adventure. It was the longest I've ever done, and thanks to that, I gained a lot of valuable impressions and experience. The tundra turned out to be challenging and harsh, requiring endurance and patience, but it's in such conditions that you feel truly alive. The organization of the trek was top-notch — everything was thought out to the smallest detail: routes, food, safety. I especially want to note the excellent catering — the food was delicious and hearty, which is very important on long treks. The nature in the tundra is stunning — these views will remain in my memory for a long time. I recommend the trek to all adventure lovers with good physical preparation — the tundra is worth it!

Having once attended Pavel's lecture, it became immediately clear — this is a competent guy, with whom one can go to the ends of the earth. The School of Tourism confirmed this, so when I saw the story about recruiting a group for the hike in winter, my summer plans became clear and specific)

I was very glad to meet the second guide Anna, to find myself in her caring and gentle hands, which fed us very tasty)

I was impressed by the personal approach to each participant, the preliminary call, information on how and when it's better to get there, answers to all possible and sometimes stupid and silly questions, help and support in any situation, a useful cheat sheet for girls about trekking subtleties.

What's nice is that there was no strict timing and жёстких conditions on when and how much to walk, we adjusted the route a couple of times to enjoy and savor the atmosphere more)

Special thanks for the pace of the march, it was such that there was no need to run and break through the tundra like a reindeer, but to walk at a pleasant pace and still have time to look around and admire the hilly expanses.  The group was always together and did not separate during the march.

As for the organization — everything is clear, thoughtful and provided for. Nice little things — bars for snacks, encouraging candies on the ascent to the hill, souvenirs to remember at the end of the trek, and always a smile and positivity)

Thanks to Pavel and Anna for the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the tundra, to step away from ordinary life and immerse yourself in Arctic Zen, to enjoy the harsh, gloomy, but incredibly soul-stirring landscapes of moss, stones, lichen and crystal clear lakes. To breathe in the sea breeze, to immerse yourself in the mist of fog and to bask in the constant unsetting sun of the North. This adventure will be remembered by me for a long time with warmth and love.

Hiking with Pasha to the White Sea is my coolest and most memorable experience!

I have quite a lot of experience with long autonomous hikes: from trips with friends to large and popular tourist clubs. But I've never had such a complete, pleasant, and comfortable experience.

Thank you so much, Pasha, for your sincere love for the Kola North, which you share wholeheartedly with each participant of the hike. And his campfire stories about an eventful hiking life are a separate art form!

During the hike, we learned a lot about the nature and people of these places, were inspired by Pasha's enthusiasm for adventure, and enjoyed the breathtaking views thanks to the excellent route.

Along the way, we saw the White Sea, beautiful northern forest, and stunning tundras with mosses of all shapes and colors. Despite this, the route itself is not difficult, with mandatory stops to admire the views and enjoy the northern berries.

So if you're just planning to go on your first hike or, on the contrary, are tired of exhausting tests of your strength, then the opportunity to go on a hike to the White Sea with Pasha Rudenko is the best news!

Here you will definitely get great pleasure from nature, company, and new impressions!

Trek 'Teriberka — Beaches of the Arctic Ocean'.
I learned about this trek случайно, from an ad on the YouTube channel of hiker Vladimir Chaikin, and immediately wrote to Pavel about my desire to go on this trek. Pavel got in touch with me, told me about the nuances of the trek and the necessary gear. To be honest, I was afraid that the second half of August in those parts would be damp and cold, so I tried to 'conjure' good weather.

The journey began with briefing at the hotel, where Pavel instructed us and handed out bags with provisions, also given were flares and a wind-resistant tent with many additional guy lines.  The next day we set off for Teriberka, where the route started, the weather was gloomy at first, but the 'conjuring' did work, and almost the entire route was accompanied by good, dry, and warm weather. It rained only a couple of times, and then only after we had set up camp.

The whole route consists of transitions from 'hill to hill'. Each time, climbing another hill, we were greeted by an amazing view of the lakes, other hills, and of course the Barents Sea, underfoot is practically dry tundra covered with moss, lichen, and berry bushes, mostly blueberries and lingonberries, less often cloudberries. The berries are ripe and tasty.

We covered from 6 to 13 kilometers a day with backpacks, had several half-days and one full day off. In addition to backpacking, we went on small radial trips, lightly loaded, to places with exceptionally beautiful views. We saw whales and seals.

The organization of the trek is beyond praise, the food is excellent and quite sufficient, the issued tents fully justified their wind resistance. In general, the trek was a success, exactly what I wanted. Many thanks to the guides, Pavel and Anya, for this interesting and memorable trek.

Summer was coming to an end and there was some fermentation, why not go on a hike.

I started thinking about the direction and decided to visit the Kola Peninsula, the places there are famous, the beauty and scale of nature are simply beyond limits. I made a decision and started looking for a company, the network, my thoughts led me to #PavelRudenko and it all started.

I studied everything and made a decision, the trek to Dalny Zelenets should happen. We messaged each other, called, discussed all the issues and I got into the group. I prepared for the trek, as I had experience in hiking in this region, and I started visiting the Murmansk region quite often, the north is like that, it attracts strongly. So on August 29, we met and set off with a group of like-minded people on a journey.

Pasha Rudenko is just an unreal person, he has studied nature, the right directions and the most beautiful locations during the trek so well that the trek turned into some kind of endless documentary about the history of the region. Despite the fact that I prepared for the trek very poorly and serious work on mistakes is ahead, everything was at the highest level.

I would like to especially note the organization of campsites and meals, it's just out of this world, organizing three meals a day on a long trek is not easy, thanks a lot to Anya for doing the impossible in such difficult conditions. I also want to mention the team, everyone was excellent, we completed the trek in one breath, everyone did a great job, it was very nice to meet new people, that's why I love hiking.

The route is awesome, the views are just amazing, the campsites are organized as cool as possible, on the last three nights the sky put on a show and the impressions intensified, along the way you meet various animals and birds, this is a separate story. Preparation for the trek on the part of the organizers is simply amazing, stories about these places were told at all campsites, supported by photographs, it is clear that the person is very interested in the history of these places.

I will be waiting for the schedule for next year and will definitely go again, either on this trek or on another route. It was very cool, there's nothing to add. Pasha and Anya, you are the best, keep promoting the northern story and develop in the direction of tourism.

The north is in the blood, the fire is in the chest, Skol!

I was planning a harsh hike through the mountain tundra, but in fact I lived this week in incredible care, as if I had a chicken under my wing, and in the stunning beauty around me.

The tundra turned out to be an incredible place. It would seem that there is a basic set of plants, mosses, lichens, rocks, lakes and streams, but behind each hill a new breathtaking view was waiting for me. And also the sea.

At some point, I caught myself thinking that I was almost running with a big backpack to see what was next. For the whole time that February has been going on, for the first time I was able to exhale to the end and even got tired of smiling.

I am very grateful to the wonderful Pavel Rudenko and Anna Migalina for this fairy tale and their care, as well as for their professionalism. You guys are the best! Rumor has it that Pasha still has places for other trips this summer - guys, don't miss your chance)

My spontaneous trip to the Kola Peninsula. I've been following Pavel's blog for almost a year, reading his descriptions of hikes and scrolling through photos, becoming more and more captivated by the idea of a trip to the north (even though I live in the north myself).

And lo and behold, a spot opened up in Granitny — along the lost shore of the Ocean! This was my first serious trek and required preparation and gear. I finally met Pasha, talked to him on the phone and was amazed by such professional, attentive and thorough attitude to each participant. He explained everything needed for the trek in an intelligible way, gave recommendations, answered all questions, provided the most detailed guide, links, promo codes...

I had no doubts that this was the trek I needed. I spent a month preparing on a large scale, even went to Moscow for gear) and... flew to Murmansk!

The hotel that Pasha picked is awesome. The adventure and incredible views begin already with the transfer. Behind every 'hill' new grandiose landscapes open up! The resting and overnight spots are simply fabulous! A varied and delicious three-meal diet (huge thanks to the second guide Ilya).

Pasha has thought of everything down to the smallest detail for the entire trek! And his love for the Kola was felt by each of us) I could describe and talk about our trek endlessly, but it's better to go yourself — you won't regret it! My great appreciation and gratitude to Pasha and Ilya, you are professionals in your field, sensitive, attentive, caring!

The journey begins with a small climb up a hill, inhaling the most delicious and freshest cool air, taking in the incredible expanse and beauty around, smiling and feeling absolutely happy — that's it — what I've been waiting for all year.

On this trek, the tundra is beautiful with its brutal beauty, the hills and rocks are low, wide, and massive, their walls are smooth, and they seem to tell that they have been here for millions of years, carved by a glacier, adorned by winds and waves, they do not age — they become more and more beautiful.

Early summer is a special time for the tundra: there are no thickets anywhere yet — all the leaves and buds are just gaining strength and look like an incredible tender miracle surrounded by massive stones. Birds are preparing to become parents: they incubate their clutches, protect them, and drive away uninvited guests.

A special pleasure is to walk along the shore during low tide — you can meet all the little sea creatures, watch the shrimp and crabs rushing about, the snails crawling slowly, and around there are whole fields of sandworms. It's so great that in such a cold sea there is so much incredible life.

For me, the tundra has become the most beloved place in the world, a place where I feel at home. Here it is always easy to breathe, the wind is blowing, there is an abundance of tasty and clean water, and there is so much beauty that the field of vision is not enough to see everything at once, because the beauty here is in everything — even underfoot there is an incredible carpet of mosses and reindeer moss. It is always different — behind every hill there is always something new waiting for you that will not leave you indifferent.

And the tundra loves you, even when you are tired and the weather is bad, you will definitely be cheered up: the sun will appear from behind the clouds, a huge seid, a rushing herd of deer, a whale in the sea, or you will be treated to berries.

I am very grateful to Pasha for all these incredible miracles. Words have not yet been invented to describe how much.

Pasha sees all this incredible beauty and knows how to infect others with it and share it. When I go on a trip with Pasha, I don't go to overcome something, but to live my best life. I know for sure that everything will be thought out and organized, that I will be fed very deliciously, supported, sheltered from the wind in a chum, told a lot about this region and its exploration, and also that no one will get lost, because there is a rear guide and everyone can go at a comfortable pace.

And Pasha is always in touch and you can get advice from him to choose the perfect gear, and then enjoy the trip both under the local Arctic rain and in +5 degrees, which feel like -2 due to the gusts of wind, and in +25 — all this diversity can happen in one day, but you will be ready for it, because Pasha is the best, and he has already thought of everything).
