Pavel Rudenko

Ambassador of the Kola Peninsula and a big fan of the North, exploring it for you and with you.

I have been hiking for 10 years, I am a certified guide-instructor, have a mountaineer badge, completed First Aid and Avalanche courses. I taught at the Sport-Marathon Tourism School and participate in the development of equipment for the Sплав brand.

My story

In 2015, my hiking story began with a trip to Crimea. As often happens with spontaneous events, I set off alone to Mount Demerdzhi without any planning. On the way, I got blisters from wearing city sneakers, got caught in a sudden cloud, and got lost at the top when it started to get dark.

In the cloudy fog, I noticed that as soon as I moved away from the city and people, the stream of thoughts subsided, problems suddenly became insignificant, and my senses sharpened. There was a concentration in the moment: the cry of a hawk diving into the valley, the rustle of small stones underfoot, light drizzle on the face, searching for a trail.

A special feeling of touching nature one on one.

I went down the slope in the dark, under flashes of lightning and heavy rain. Incredibly exhausted and soaked to the skin, I got home at night and fell onto the bed without strength.

In the morning, I realized that one day had given me more emotions, realizations, calmness, and depth than the entire motorcycle trip to Crimea and the experience of many previous trips to Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, and other countries.

Wanting to touch that feeling again, the next summer I prepared and went on a trip. I walked hundreds of kilometers through the Caucasus from Russia and Georgia and hitchhiked through Turkey. New experiences with nature and two months of camping helped me get to know myself for real, and my life began to change.

I quit my job at the bank, where I worked in private banking, and later went to work at the Sport-Marafon travel store. I went to Nepal and then to the north, where I found the wildest, most pristine, and cleanest nature. The Arctic, which I fell in love with ten years ago, and with each passing year the call becomes stronger, and I spend more and more time exploring the harsh and beautiful world of the tundra on foot, on skis, and discovering this world for others.

Instructor-guide

My experience is rooted in solo hikes, where the risks are high, psychological stability is required, and you can only rely on yourself.

Perfectionism and an innate low tolerance for risk have determined a scrupulous and systematic approach to organizing hikes in the north with a margin of safety and comprehensive development in all areas of tourism.

The first large commercial hike was preceded by:5 000+ kilometers covered, 20+ solo hikes, 20+ hikes in a team, 50+ day trips under my leadership.

Training as an instructor-guide, alpine camp in Tuyuk-Su, avalanche course in preparation for a ski hike, books, theoretical systematization and structuring of knowledge, speaking with lectures and recording videos. In 2023, after leaving Sport-Marafon, I took up my favorite activity — organizing and leading hikes in the north under the personal brand RUDENKO. I treat the business with great love and responsibility and value the reputation of my surname.

Having done a lot of work and received hundreds of reviews from participants, I can confidently guarantee that in each hike with me you will receive a high level of organization and safety, a very warm friendly atmosphere, a truly modern and technological approach to tourism, авторские routes to the Arctic, which I create myself.

Lectures, videos, and articles

A sincere desire to share experience is associated with a personal стремление to progress and the value of накапливания experience of generations. Consulting on gear

Choosing and buying gear is one of the most difficult, time-consuming, and expensive tasks for a tourist. At the same time, it is the most important part of safety and comfort on a hike.

I love testing and selecting the ideal gear for upcoming tasks, testing it in the difficult conditions of the north on foot and ski hikes as a solo tourist and leader of hikes for my participants.Having theoretical knowledge enhanced by working at Sport-Marafon and collaborating with brands, extensive opportunities to test a wide variety of gear, personal experience, conducting 10 hikes annually, I can help with the individual selection of gear.

This way, you will save tens and hundreds of thousands of rubles, immediately choosing the most suitable gear for your tasks, without overpaying where it is not necessary and buying good gear where it makes sense.
